What was your overall life before Pro Fitness? My overall life before Pro Fitness was sitting at a desk for 10 hours a day for work and taking 20 min walks on my lunch. I was over weight and had a lack of energy.


Why did you get started I got started because after having my last baby, 4 years earlier I was wanting to get back into weight training. I love the way I feel when I work out, wanted to get healthier, feel good in my own skin and kick my anxiety and stress to the curb.


What's your struggles and how did you get over them and focused on your task? My struggles was getting past the anxiety of going to a gym, with people I did not know, and an exercise I actually enjoyed and a trainer that knew how to get results and helped show me how to workout properly.


What benefits did you achieve from this new lifestyle? (Physically, mentally, etc.) Mentally my anxiety is not a everyday occurrence and my stress has gone down. I crave the endorphins of working out and enjoy it. Physically I love seeing the results, but I also really like doing things in my everyday life I could not do easily before. For example, picking up the 5 gallon water jugs when they get deliver. Sometime 2 at the same time. 😂. My husband jaw drops!


Who was your support system and got you to your transformation/success? * Mah-Ann and Lisa with Pro-fitness have been my support system, but along with that are the friendships I have made with other like minded ladies at the gym. I have felt welcomed since the first day that I went. That was huge for me personally. It was exactly what I needed.


How is your current state (progress in health and fitness) helping you now with your daily functions, routines, life with family, friends, activities, etc? Biggest changes? I am one year in and health has improved greatly. I have lost over 20 lbs by working out and eating right. I have more energy for my day to day work life, chasing my kids to sporting events and being practical in my eating habits.

Biggest changes...less flab! I feel good in my clothes and my own body again for the first time since children!


What would you say to anyone who's on the fence about joining our fitness community? I have tried other gyms, other classes, diets and I never stuck too or just didn’t work!
