Are you ready to lose weight and get fit but not sure how to get started?
If you’re ready to change your life, the first step is by changing your mind. Commit to take action toward your “Body Transformation.” We have the power to reach our goals and achieve our dreams but our own minds are our first saboteurs!
When first starting out, all the information can seem daunting. Your emotions and behaviors have an influence with your weight. You need to commit all your mental resources toward changing your negative self-image and poor self-esteem through journaling, using positive affirmations, visualizing your goal, and learning behavior-modification techniques. It’s also important to create a support system with your family and friends so they know your goals and what they can do to support you. Another important step is to identify temptations and “trigger foods” in your life and find ways to substitute or eliminate the trigger in your lifestyle.
Next, learn how and what to eat. Learn how to make healthier choices (experiment with spices and herbs, lemon juice or other healthy alternatives to condiments) and find out what the right types of foods are for your individual metabolism. Then educate yourself about calories. How many calories does your body burn daily? How many calories do you burn when you exercise? A pound is 3,500 calories — so to lose a pound, you will need to burn 3,500 calories more than you take in. It’s easy math of “calories in “versus “calories out.” Calorie deficits will equal weight loss.
This is where the exercise component comes in. Exercise is the best way to get those “calories out” and burn fat. Get yourself familiarized with exercise. Find out the most effective ways to work out in order to burn the most calories. It’s also important to learn the proper form and purpose for each exercise you perform, and how to modify your fitness routine to prevent plateaus.
The mind-body connection is powerful and without some guidance and motivation, success may seem unattainable. With my Body Transformation Program, all of these areas of your lifestyle are carefully evaluated. One-on-one guidance with nutrition, mind-set, lifting technique and your goals are tailored specifically to you.
