What was your overall life before Pro Fitness?
I was a member of several different fitness clubs in the past, but when I went back to work full time, exercise just wasn’t a priority. I was focused on my family and my personal exercise goals fell to the bottom of the list of things to do. I wasn’t making time for me, and I was really out of shape!

Why did you get started?
An ad popped up on my Facebook feed about Pro Fitness, and I thought it sounded intriguing. I was tired of being tired. I was ready to try something new.
Upon joining, I sat down with Mah-Ann and together we made some fitness goals. She was there to answer my questions and help me through any challenges that I had. She also taught me how to eat healthier so that I have a plan to meet my weight loss/fitness goals.

What’s your struggles and how did you get over them and focused on your task?
I am not going to lie, the first few weeks were tough. I was a bit sore as I was using muscles I hadn’t used for a while. As you stick with it, exercise and eating correctly become part of your lifestyle.

What benefits did you achieve from this new lifestyle? (Physically, mentally, etc.?)
I have more energy, more confidence, and I just all around feel better. I have arthritis in my knees and shoulder, but after making some changes to my exercise and eating habits, I am off my daily medication and I am feeling stronger all the time.

Who was your support system and got you to your transformation/success?
The classes are fast paced and vary each time, which means they are never boring! The other clients in the group sessions are friendly, helpful, and encouraging. There is a feeling of camaraderie in our fitness groups. Mah-Ann and Lisa are there everyday encouraging and pushing everyone to succeed. I enjoyed my time at the gym so much that I even got my husband to join. We now work out together 3 to 5 times a week. We enjoy spending time together and have a common goal of achieving better health.

How is your current state (progress in health and fitness) helping you now with your daily functions, routines, life with family, friends, activities, etc? Biggest changes?
I am learning to eat healthier so that I can attain my fitness goals. Exercise alone will not make you healthy. As I follow Mah-Ann’s plan, I am finding I am making progress towards a better, healthier, more energetic me.

What would you say to anyone who’s on the fence about joining our fitness community?
